Year 6 residential September 2026
In September 2026 our Y6 pupils visited Castleton to for a 2 day residential which provided opportunities for children to develop their resilience and communication. The visit built on the skills they learnt on their previous visit and they went out of their comfort zone, facing walks on challenging terrain, complex teamworking tasks and pushing themselves to the limit rock scrambling and weasling (squeezing through the holes in rocks!) This was followed by the whole of Y6 coming together for the High Ropes at the Hollowford Centre.

The children had some down time too, playing games and enjoying the facilities at the Rotary Centre. They had to show how responsible they could be in their duties at meal times and in their rooms and it was great to see them getting to see each other in a different light outside the classroom and for staff to spend time with them too!
