Mrs Zaidah Ahmed - MBE JP
Good day and welcome to St. Ann's Primary School.
I am an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion specialist with 20 years of experience both in the public and voluntary sector. I am highly respected and nationally recognised for the work in the field of community engagement with BAME and hard to reach communities. I am a serving magistrate for over 15 years. She is chair of governors and a Director off of a Multi Academy Trust. I have also held a Trustee position at Rotherham United Community Football Trust, for the past 15 years.
She holds a Masters in Education.

I used to lead Rotherham volunteer fundraising group for Macmillan Cancer Support & a volunteer counsellor with ROOMS a support group for women diagnosed with/going through treatment for breast cancer & a member of Mang’t Committee for ROTHACS counselling service for Rotherham survivors of rape, domestic abuse, CSE. Gave those up to volunteer at Unity Centre in their English Conversation classes for asylum seekers, refugees but now, I just support half a dozen Asylum Seeker/Refugee families access services, benefits, support, cope with official correspondence/interviews etc.

Mr John Greaves is our new co-opted Governor.
1969 to 1995, working in the Mining Industry. Covering all disciplines of underground work. Rising to management level.
1995 to 2003, I was working within the NHS in Barnsley. My posts were HR Manager & Substance Misuse Key Worker.
2003 to 2007, returned to fulltime education.
2007 to 2019, I was part of the Rotherham School Library Service Team. Managing the team from 2009 onwards.
I am an avid and competitive Clay Pigeon Shooter and working dog trainer. Also, I run a local group to aid adults to improve their writing and reading skills.
BA Hons in English Studies from Sheffield Hallam University. I am also a long-time member of the Institute Of Supervision and Management.
Mrs Sarah Littlewood -Headteacher
I am the Headteacher at Harthill Primary School, a JMAT school based in Rotehrham. Prior to this I was the seconded Head at Brampton Cortonwood Infants and the Deputy at Mexborough St Johns. I have taught in Rotherham and Doncaster for the past 12 years and for 10 of those I was also SENCo. I am also an SLE (Specialist Leader of Education) for SEN.
I have 2 children, Edith and Amos who keep me busy when I am not at work! I am an avid and passionate reader and a keen musician - I have been in band for the last 8 years.
I have a BA in History from Sheffield University and was awarded my PGCE from Sheffield Hallam. I have the SEN Accreditation from Sheffield Hallam and NPQSL from Learners First
Mrs. Eileen Brooks - Co-opted Governor
I am an award-winning journalist and former Head of Communications at Rotherham Borough Council. I was a former pupil at St Ann's and Rotherham High School for Girls. I am also a Trustee Board member of Rotherham Abuse Counselling Service.
I have a degree in Social Studies from Sheffield Hallam University.
Mr. Richard Hawley - Staff Governor
I am a teacher at St. Ann's School and have worked here for 16 years. I first came to the school as a trainee teacher on placement and have been here ever since because of the amazing children, ethos and atmosphere of the school.
I am a father of three children aged between 9 and 2. One of my children has very complex needs and so as a parent, and a teacher, I am passionate about all children receiving the education that they deserve.
I have a degree in Environmental Science from the University of Leeds and a PGCE from Sheffield Hallam University. I have also studied for and gained NPQSL qualification.
Mrs. Patricia Jarvis - Co-opted Governor
I previously worked in Adult Community Education but have now retired. I am a local Councillor working within the community, which I find very challenging but very rewarding.
I have long standing connections with St Ann's, well over 20 years, having previously supported adult learning groups in the school. I really believe in the ethos of the school and treasure the loving and happy atmosphere which you sense from the minute you enter the school.
I have teaching qualifications for post 16 education, along with a management qualification.
Mrs. J Jennings - Staff Governor
I currently work at St Ann's as a Senior Teaching Assistant in Year 3. I attended St Ann's as a child back in the 70's.
Over the years, I have lived and worked in different schools around the world. St Ann's is a unique school where cultural diversity is celebrated.
I studied and specialised in Art at Rotherham College & Arts Technology. I now use these skills across the school to support others.
Mrs. Martina Stipakova - Parent Governor
I work as a Family support worker in the local community. Recently I have been involved with the Home Office helping people apply for Settled Status.
I am married with one daughter who attends St Ann’s Junior & Infant School. I came to England from Slovakia years ago and I am hoping to make a positive contribution to the school, as Parent Governor.
Mr. Lee Rowan - Joint Headteacher
I currently work at St Ann's as the Joint Headteacher and have been in this current post since 2012. I first came to St. Ann’s in 2002 as an Assistant Head & Y6 teacher. I have taught in Rotherham Borough Council for 25 years.
I am a father of three children aged between 18 and 14, my eldest son has just started University. My passion is football – I am a season ticket holder at Manchester United.
I have a BA in Sports Studies from Northumbria University and a PGCE from Bradford and Ilkley Community College. Since joining St. Ann’s I have also passed a PGC in Leadership and Management and my NPQH.
