Homework

Children are expected to do homework each week.

This will be spellings and reading as well as using 'TT Rockstars' to practise times tables. Please follow the link opposite to take you to the site.

We also have 'Numbots' for children learning the basic number bonds.

There will also be some project/topic work over each half term.

The most important thing you can do to support your child in school is to read with them every night, read to them, listen to them read, love books and show them you love reading. We have subscribed to Bug Club which has hundreds of books for your child to access and they receive rewards for completing books and answering questions about what they have read,. Please click on the link opposite to take you to the Bug Club site. Your child should have their own personal log in.

In every class we record the number of times children read at home in a week. This includes books taken home, reading for research for their project or simply reading for fun e.g. comics, magazines or internet sites. Children are rewarded by being given stamps for their charts.
